The Chicago Botanic Garden is back in the news with another blooming Corpse Flower. Page Of Man readers may recall our post this past summer on Spike, the Corpse Flower that captured the attention of many but failed to bloom. Hoping to redeem Spike, the Chicago Botanic Garden has announced that another, though still rare, Corpse Flower specimen nicknamed Alice is in the process of Blooming.
The blooming process and associated scent can last up to 36 hours. If you can’t make the trip to Glencoe for the event, consider watching it unfold via the real-time webcam below.
